Proposal Writer
INTEGRITYOne Partners Federal Proposal Writer (IT-Focused) Location – Remote | Full-Time
The Role
As our Federal Proposal Writer, you turn complex technical ideas into clear, compelling stories that help federal agencies understand how solutions work — and why they matter.
You work at the center of our growth engine, partnering with engineers, solution architects, and capture leads to produce proposals that are clear, compliant, and persuasive. Your writing helps evaluators quickly understand our approach, reduces risk in their minds, and increases our chances of winning.
If you enjoy writing under real deadlines, asking smart questions of technical experts, and seeing your work directly influence business growth, you’ll feel at home here.
About Us
INTEGRITYOne Partners specializes in IT modernization and business transformation for Federal clients. We tackle big problems with missions that positively impact our country's health, safety, and security. Our team of dedicated consultants and technologists thrives on learning new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies. With decades of experience, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding, sustainable software products and systems.
What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Reality)
Most of your time (about 75%) is spent writing and refining proposal content, including:
· Writing sections of federal RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs (technical and management volumes)
· Interviewing subject matter experts and translating their input into evaluator-friendly narratives
· Developing executive summaries, win themes, and solution explanations
· Turning IT concepts — software development, systems integration, cloud, data, cybersecurity, AI/ML — into clear business value and mission outcomes
· Editing and improving drafts for clarity, compliance, and plain language
· Formatting and polishing content in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint so it’s clean, readable, and professional
You’ll also spend a smaller portion of your time:
· Supporting proposal schedules, reviews (Pink / Red / Gold), and section compliance
· Helping ensure proposals tell a consistent, logical “solution story”
· Occasionally developing growth materials like capabilities decks, case studies, or white papers
This is not a pure marketing role — and not a full Proposal Manager role. Writing is the core.
What Success Looks Like
You’re successful in this role when:
· Your sections are delivered on time, on target, and require minimal rework
· Review teams consistently say: “This is clear and easy to understand”
· Technical SMEs trust you to represent their ideas accurately
· Proposal managers rely on you as a strong, independent contributor
· Your writing helps evaluators quickly grasp our solution and strengths
Who Thrives Here
You’re likely a strong fit if you:
· Have 5–7 years of experience writing federal proposals or solution-oriented technical content
· Enjoy turning messy technical input into structured, readable narratives
· Understand that proposals are about evaluation criteria, not just good writing
· Can work calmly and effectively under deadline pressure
· Like collaborating with engineers, architects, and business leaders
· Care deeply about clarity, accuracy, and quality
You don’t need to be an engineer — but you must be comfortable learning and explaining technical concepts.
