Job Summary
In support of the Defense Logistics Agency's (DLA) Installation Management (DM) candidate will provide operations, sustainment, and maintenance support, including Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), and technical services support of software/hardware, including any required manufacturer support plan products. Specifically, the candidate shall provide support to fully operational Electronic Security Systems (ESS) systems, including, but not limited to, testing, inspection, maintenance, services, patching, upgrading, migrating, and/or enhancing ESS systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
In this position, the candidate will provide a leadership role on an installation and/or sustainment team. This includes supporting the Project Manager with task coordination and planning, conducting installation kick-off meetings, delegating daily activities for the installation team, quality assurance, system programming and configuration, test and acceptance, inventory management, and developing redlines. This candidate will also install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade physical and electronic security systems. The candidate will be required to lift large and heavy objects (up to 75 lbs), perform physical work such as pulling cables, climbing ladders, and working outdoors for extended periods of time. The candidate will install panels, bend piping/conduit, perform system wiring for both low and high-voltage power, and perform connections for both copper and fiber optics. The candidate will be responsible for programming/configuring security software applications.
Qualifications and Skills
Required knowledge and years of experience
- Three (3) to eight (8) years of practical experience in the installation and/or maintenance of electronic security systems.
- Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors. Qualified and trained to work on Lenel “On Guard” ESS, CCTV systems, and Morse Watchman Keypro systems is preferred.
Education Requirements
High School diploma or GED. Formal electronics training (military or civilian)
Certifications
Have or be able to obtain Level Certified Professional (LCP) and Milestone Certified Integration Technician (MCIT) certifications
