Operations Research Analyst (SOC 15-2031)- Journeyman
Overview
The Operations Research Analyst supports Navy and DoD logistics, readiness, and sustainment efforts through quantitative analysis, modeling, and decision-support tools. This role applies analytical methods to improve maintenance planning, supply readiness, cost analysis, and operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Apply mathematical modeling, optimization, and analytical techniques to support NAVAIR maintenance, supply, readiness, and cost analysis
Collect, integrate, filter, and analyze data from Navy and DoD sustainment systems
Develop analytical products supporting decision-making related to readiness degraders, maintenance drivers, and cost impacts
Perform statistical analysis, trending, and forecasting to identify issues and opportunities
Design and develop dashboards, models, simulations, and analytical tools for government stakeholders
Support reporting, documentation, and briefings for leadership
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship required; must be eligible for Tier 3 investigation and access to CUI in Navy environments
Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR
Associate’s degree plus four (4) additional years of relevant experience
Six (6) years of relevant experience supporting analytics, logistics, or sustainment environments
